Scenario:
1. Create new or update Inventory item via Lists > Accounting > Items > New> Inventory
2. Create new Matrix Item via Lists > Accounting > Items > Matrix Item Assistant
3. Create new or update Inventory Item or MatrixItem via CSV Import
Results:
· Prompt or CSV Import result: You may not use duplicate accounts on an item
Findings:
· Manual (Accountingtab of item record) or CSV:
· User receives the prompt when user enters the same accountvalue in more than one account field for the item
Examples:
a. Entering in 1000 COGS under the COGS Account and Intercompany COGS fields
b. Entering in 2005 Variance Expense under Customer Return Variance Account and Vendor Return Variance Account (notapplicable for CSV Import)
· Matrix Assistant:
· Field values used by Matrix Assistant to create the matrix item record source from Setup> Accounting > Accounting Preferences > Items/Transactions tab > Accounts portlet
· User receives the prompt when user enters the same accountvalue in more than one field in the Accounting Preferences
Example: Entering in 2000 Sales underDefault Income Account and Default Intercompany Income Account fields
