Witholding Tax SuiteApp Error : Cannot call method "setLabel" of null

Scenario:

·        Navigate to Transactions> Payables > Enter Bills > View/Edit/Approve Bill

·        Administrator received an email with the followingdetails:

Account:

Bundle Name: Withholding Tax

Environment: Production

Record Type: Vendor Bill

Script: WT for Accruals

Type: User Event

Function: _4601.accrualUE.beforeLoad

Error: WITHHOLDING TAX BUNDLE ERROR

Error triggered by USER:

TypeError: Cannot call method "setLabel" of null

 

Findings:

·        This error occurs when Withholding Tax fields are disabled in the form.  See Setting Up Withholding Tax

 

Solution:

To get past the error:

1.   Customize the VendorBill form under Customization >Forms > Transaction Forms

2.   Set the following fields to Show=True under ScreenFields tab > Columnssubtab:

Withholding Tax Amount

Apply WH Tax?

Item's Default WT Code

Withholding Tax Base Amount

Withholding Tax Rate

Withholding Tax Code

Withholding Tax Line

View/Edit/Approve Bill

3.   Click Save
