The Projected Total Amount on an Opportunity Does Not Automatically Update When Item Quantities or Rates are Changed

Projected Total is automatically computed for opportunities based on several scenarios. See Creating an Opportunity Record for more information.

When Projected Total does not update automatically when quantity or rate of items is changed in the opportunity, it is an indication that the amount was manually entered into the field, that is, the computed amount was overridden.

To resolve this and allow the system to recompute automatically:
1. As Administrator navigate to Transactions > Sales > Create Opportunities > List.
2. Click Edit.
3. Click the Update Projected button found under the Items tab of the Opportunity record.
4. Click Save.
