One World: Item Record>Purchasing/Inventory > Vendor subtab > Adding a vendor throws a message saying "You have exceeded the length limit for this field. Please shorten your entry by XX characters."

1. When you add a vendor to a serialized item and the error pop up message "You have exceeded the length limit for this field. Please shorten your entry by XX characters." appeared, please click OK.
2. In the Code column field next to the added Vendor write some number (e.g. 1).
3. Click Add.
* new Vendor is added with some Code
4. Go back to the Code column field and erase currently added Vendor's code number.
5. Hit Add.
6. Click Save.

The issue is on Avalara's end. Their target fix for this issue is set on the third quarter of this year.
