How to set the custom date field to blank via Web Services

Here is how to set the custom date field to blank via Web Services:

Notice that on the SOAP request above, instead of me using the DateCustomFieldRef to set the custbody4 to blank, I used StringCustomFieldRef to set the custbody4 to blank.
