Paypal Transactions that are Completed in PayPal are still Showing as 'Paypal Pending Authorization' on the Sales Order and does not have the Paypal Transaction ID

 

When all Paypal orders being generated in NetSuite does not indicate its Paypal Transaction ID and status still shows Paypal Pending Authorization even if payment has been completed in Paypal, check if the IPN (Instant Payment Notifications) in Paypal is enabled.

 

To enable IPN settings:

 

1. Log in to PayPal account

2. Click on Profile under My Account tab

3. Click on My Selling Tools

4. Look for Instant Payment Notifications preferences.

5. Click on Choose IPN Settings

6. Enter Notification URL on this format:

https://system.netsuite.com/app/external/paypal/instantpaymentnotificationlistener.nl?compid=<scompid>  (where compid is the NetSuite account number).

7.  Select Receive IPN message then Save.
