To be able to include the total weight of the box or the packaging to the total weight of the items being shipped on the calculation of the shipping cost, please do the following:
1. Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Shipping > Packages tab
2. Under the Weight column, assign a Weight on the Package
3. Click on Submit button.
Once this is submitted, if you use the package again to ship your orders, the total weight set up for the packaging will be included to the total weight of the items being shipped as a factor in the computation of Shipping Costs.
The assigned weight could be oz and lb depending on your Item Setup.
