Steps to Set Sales Representative as Support Representative using a Workflow

For businesses whose sales rep takes ownership of their accounts technical concerns.

I. Create Workflow to set values

1. Navigate to Customization > Scripting > Workflows > New
2. Provide Name
3. Set value for :
- Record Type : Case
4. Set On Update = T
5. Set Execute as Admin = T
6. Set Release Status     Testing/Released
7. Set Trigger Type = Before Record Submit
8. Click on Save.

II. Create new State
1. Click on New State
2. Provide Name
3. Click on Save.

III. Steps to Create Action
1. Click on the State
2. Click on New Action
3. Click Set Field Value
4. Set Trigger On Before  Record Submit
6. Set Field = Assigned
7. Set Value
- From Field – Record = Company
- Field = Sales Rep
8. Click on Save
