The GL impact ofvariance postings only contains the net of the amounts. A transactionsaved search can be created to show the breakdown.
1. Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New.
2. Select Transaction.
3. Under Criteria tab > Standard subtab, do thefollowing:
-- Select Transaction Line Type as a filter and set it to any of ProductionPrice Variance, Production Quantity Variance
-- Select Type as a filter and set it to Assembly Build or Work OrderClose.
4. Under Results tab, set its Output Type to Report.
5. Under Results tab >Columnssubtab, add the following:
-- Field: Type | Summary Type: Group
-- Field: Document Number |Summary Type: Group
-- Field: Date| Summary Type: Group
-- Field: Item| Summary Type: Group
-- Field: Cost Component Category | Summary Type: Group
-- Field: CostComponent Item | Summary Type: Group
-- Field:Transaction Line Type | Summary Type: Group
-- Field: Cost Component Amount| Summary Type: Sum
6. Under the Available Filterstab, select Date as a filter and check the Show in Footer box.
7. Edit the Search Title.
8. Click Save & Run.
This search will allow a user to drill down to an assembly build and check thedetails of the variances.
