Resolve error when running asset depreciation: Depreciation failed: NCFAR_JOURNALERROR - Code: TRANS_UNBALNCD Details

The error is caused by the decimal precision of the currency being used for the asset.

Some currencies require the use of integers, without decimal fractions. For example, Japanese yen are usually displayed as ¥123, but not as ¥123.45.

To resolve the error, the integer currency must be specified on the Fixed Asset system setup:

1. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup > General tab.

2. On the Integer (0 d.p.) Currencies field, enter the currency code of currencies that do not have a decimal value (e.g., JPY).

3. Click Save.
