Multiple Budgets feature enables Users, among others, to create Budget Categories to show budget scenarios per parent and child subsidiary's currencies.
If Users are only seeing the Parent Subsidiary in the Subsidiary Context dropdown field when viewing Budget vs. Actual and Budget Profit & Loss reports, it is because the Budget Category field is defaulted to Legacy.
Legacy Budget Category is automatically assigned to all budgets created before Multiple Budgets feature was enabled. Since the default category for Legacy is Global, Users can only pull up the Parent Subsidiary because such category shows budgets using the parent subsidiary's Base Currency only. Hence, if the User needs to pull up the child subsidiaries in these reports - where the amount will be shown using the currency assigned per subsidiary, Users need to select a Local category on the dropdown for Budget Category field.
If the User has no Budget Category with Local setting, Users can choose to create a new local budget category under Setup > Accounting > Accounting Lists > New, select Budget Category and enter any valid Category Name. Make sure that the Global checkbox is unmarked prior to saving the record.
