Opportunity Number does not Populate when an Estimate is Converted from an Opportunity

The value entered on the Title field will also be carried over to the Opportunity field instead of the actual opportunity number when an estimate is converted from an opportunity.

 

Here's an example:

1. Log in as Administrator.
2. Navigate to Transactions > Sales > Create Opportunities.
3. Fill out the Opportunity Form and enter a value on the Title field.
4. Click Save.

Note: While users are on view mode for that opportunity, do the steps below:

1. On the old custom form, we have the General tab.

• On General tab, click Estimates subtab > Click New Estimate button.

2. On the New Form Layout Enhancement, the New Estimate button is now placed under the Sales tab.

• On Sales tab, click Estimates subtab > Click New Estimate button.

- On the Estimate form, the Opportunity field should give you the Title instead of the opportunity number.
