Disable/Skip the Hint Question in the Forgot Password Page of the Web Store

 

Webstore > Login > when user clicks on "Click here if you've forgotten your password", the system will check if the email address has a hint setup before providing the link to reset your password.

 

To bypass this if the shopper doesn't have a password hint:

 

Navigate to Setup > Site Builder > Customize Text > click on Customize for the current Customize Text group currently assigned the web site. Then click the Buttons tab > look for default text 'Click here if you've forgotten your password'

 

Note: To identify which Customize Group the site is using, navigate to Setup > Site Builder > Setup Website > under Appearance Tab > Text Group field

Default script:

<tr><td class='smalltext'> </td><td class='smalltext'><a href='#' onclick="{1}">Click here if you've forgotten your password</a></td></tr>

 

Replace script with:

This redirects the user to the password retrieval form to automatically send an email to the user for instructions on how to change their password.
