Change Parent Subsidiary after Enabling Subsidiary Hierarchy Modification Feature

After upgrade to Oneworld instance, customers might need to insert a new parent subsidiary. The Subsidiary Hierarchy Modification feature needs to be enabled in the customers account (submit a Support Case to learn more about this feature). After the feature has been enabled, they cannot assign the existing parent subsidiary as a child of a new subsidiary because it does not have Subsubsidiary of field. When creating a new subsidiary, the system requires a value for Subsubsidiary of field.

1. Navigate to Setup > Company > Subsidiaries.
2. Edit the current Parent Subsidiary. Note that there is no Subsubsidiary of field where you can select a new parent subsidiary.
3. Click Cancel to go back to the list of Subsidiaries.
4. Click New Subsidiary.
5. Enter the Name of new parent subsidiary.
6. Note that Subsubsidiary of defaulted to the parent subsidiary. Click the Subsubsidiary of dropdown and note that it is not possible to set this to blank.
7. Select the Currency.
8. Enter the Address fields.
9. Click Save.
10. Edit the newly created subsidiary.
11. Click the Subsubsidiary of dropdown. Note that it is now possible to select blank. Select blank for this field.

12. Return email address will now be a required field. Fill it out.
13. Click Save.

Note: The newly created subsidiary becomes the new parent subsidiary.
