Steps to Change the Actual Close Date in the Opportunity Record

To change the Actual Close Date of an Opportunity, the associated Sales Order, Cash Sale or Invoice should be edited by changing the value of the Date field. If the Opportunity has both a Sales Order and Invoice or Cash Sale linked to it then the Date field on the Sales Order needs to be edited.
