Resolve Web Customer Registration Error "Please enter a value for name"

Customer registers as a new customer in the web store and is prompted with an error message "Please enter a value for name."

The error message appears if in the Setup > Site Builder > Shopping tab > Registration page is setup as:

• Display Company Field on Registration Page = T
• Mandatory = T
• Create Customers as Companies = T
• Name field is set as mandatory in the Contact form

To resolve the error that shows:

1. Login as an Administrator in Netsuite.

2. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Entry Forms.

3. Under the SubType column look for Contact.

4. Look the contact form that has Preferred=T.

3. Click Edit. 

4. Click the Fields tab > Main sub tab then look for Name.

5. Set the Mandatory field to false.

6. Click Save.
