Preferred Wireless Barcode Scanner and Software.

NetSuite does not provide any recommendation on what type of scanners are best used with NetSuite. NetSuite's barcode integration works with any bar code scanner that functions as a keyboard input device. The scanner translates the barcode into text, just as if users typed it on the keyboard. NetSuite uses Symbol (Motorola) scanner for training purposes, but that is not to say we recommend the same or any specific brand.
 
NetSuite supports barcode labels for the 12-digit, UPC A format and the 13-digit EAN format. Before purchasing a barcode scanner, make sure that such is able to scan at least these three formats.
 
Lastly, wireless scanners integration are not readily available on standard NetSuite accounts. Users may have to perform manual work such as creating Adjust Inventory Worksheets if wireless scanners are used for periodic inventory counts for example. Users must check with their sales rep for available NetSuite partners who provide wireless scanners integration solutions.
