Case Submitted by a Individual Type Customer is Assigned to Anonymous Customer when Duplicate Detection for Customer is Enabled

Detect Customer Duplicates is enabled in user's account. The Fields to Match On for Customer is Name/ID. When case is submitted through an Online Case form, case is assigned to Anonymous Customer. The default customer type set in Setup > Company > General Preferences is Individual.

To prevent NetSuite from assigning cases to Anonymous Customer Place holder when case is submitted by a new customer, perform the following steps:

     1. Login as Administrator.
     
     2. Navigate to Setup > Company > Duplicate Detection.
     
     3. In Detect Customer Duplicates, set Fields To Match On to Email (Full)
     
     4. Click Save.
     
     5. Navigate to Setup > Support > Online Case Forms.
     
     6. Edit the Online Case form.
     
     7. In the Select Fields tab, add Email.
     
     8. Check the Search field for Email.
     
     9. In the Set Up Workflow tab, Preferences section, uncheck Create Customers as Companies.
     
     10. In the Set Up Workflow tab, Preferences section, uncheck Use Duplicate Detection Criteria.
     
     11. Click Save.
